Consumer Database Warns Against Dangerous Products
In an effort to keep track of new dangerous products causing injury and death, the government developed a database for reporting dangerous products. Despite the objections some manufacturers and members of Congress, in 2011 the government launched SaferProducts.gov.
The website is a database where consumers can share complaints of injury or death from everyday products. It is overseen by the Consumer Products Safety Commission, and the purpose is to protect consumers from dangerous products that are already known hazards.
If you have been a victim of a dangerous product, be sure to report it to SaferProducts.gov.
