The Walter Clark Legal Group Safe Ride Home Program is intended for people who drive to a local restaurant or bar, have one to several alcoholic drinks, and unexpectedly find themselves over the legal BAC limit. For over a decade, Walter Clark Legal Group has paid for rides home to keep drivers like these off the road during busy holidays, when the number of accidents increases. “I have and just about everybody I know has at some time driven when they shouldn’t, and the reason that happens is that after you have a drink, you think you’re fine. That’s the effect of impairment,” says Walter Clark, founder of Walter Clark Legal Group. “If you see somebody who doesn’t look like they should be driving, we’ll pay for the ride.”

For the Thanksgiving holiday, Walter Clark Legal Group is offering reimbursement for rides home taken between Wednesday, November 24, 10:00 PM PST and 3:00 AM PST on Thursday, November 25, 2021, in the Coachella Valley, Victorville, El Centro, Banning, Yucca Valley, and Morongo Valley.

How the Thanksgiving Safe Ride Home Program Works:

Register below to claim your reimbursement. Pay for the cab, Uber, or Lyft ride. Submit your reimbursement request to us. Get reimbursed. It’s that easy!

Here are the details for this Thanksgiving Holiday:

• Rides must be taken within the Coachella Valley cities of Palm Springs, Palm Desert, Cathedral City, Desert Hot Springs, Rancho Mirage, Indian Wells, La Quinta, Bermuda Dunes, Indio, and Coachella, CA; Victorville, CA; El Centro, CA; Banning, CA; or Yucca Valley and Morongo Valley, CA

• You must be of legal drinking age to qualify (21 and over)

• Valid for one, one-way ride from a bar, restaurant, or residence to a safe destination (hotel or residence)

• Valid only for cab, Uber, or Lyft ride taken between Wednesday, November 24, 2021, 10:00 PM PST and Thursday, November 25, 2021, 3:00 AM PST

• Limit one reimbursement per household

• Limit one reimbursement per residential address

• The maximum distance of 50 miles or the maximum fare of $50.00 (whichever comes first) anywhere in the participating areas listed above

• You must have a valid driver’s license to participate. Required for reimbursement.

• Please remember that all submissions for reimbursement must be received by no later than November 30, 2021.

HOW TO CLAIM YOUR REIMBURSEMENT

To claim your cab, Uber, or Lyft ride reimbursement please take the following steps:
1. There are a limited number of tickets. You MUST CLAIM a ticket to be eligible for the refund.

2. After the event is over we will send you instructions to fill out an online form where you can submit your information online. Reimbursements will come via United States Postal Service to your residence.

Please remember that all submissions must be received by no later than November 30, 2021.
