Police identified two men who were killed in a fatal big rig crash on I-10 last month. The victims were 42-year-old Raleigh Guillory from Marksville, Louisiana, and 49-year-old Sean Burke from Gulfport, Mississippi.

The men were inside a big rig that overturned on westbound I-10 around 5 a.m. near the Cactus Walsh Bridge. Both victims were pronounced dead at 5:50 a.m.

A Hazardous Materials Team also responded to the crash to clean up a diesel fuel spill. It is not clear what caused the truck to overturn on the highway. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) is currently investigating the fatal big rig crash.

This stretch of I-10 has been the scene of numerous fatal crashes recently. Just weeks before, a driver was killed on eastbound I-10 when his vehicle was struck by a big rig changing lanes.

“Truck drivers are paid by the mile, motivating them to stay on the road to make as much money as possible. Unfortunately, this practice often leads to sleep-deprived drivers who are more prone to make mistakes and be involved in crashes,” said Attorney Walter Clark, founder of Walter Clark Legal Group.
