Roadwork Project Continues Delays at Gene Autry Trail

The 7-week Palm Springs repair and repaving project is well underway and causing delays at Gene Autry Trail. Northbound traffic was limited to one lane Monday, and lane closures will continue all week.

Drivers should be aware that once they enter the construction zone on Gene Autry Trail, there is no way to exit early. If you must use Gene Autry, prepare for serious delays and give yourself ample time to get to your destination.

The lane closures causing delays on Gene Autry Trail occur between Ramon Road and Vista Chino. Over the coming weeks, roadwork will continue down all of Highway 111 in Palm Springs, including Vista Chino and North Palm Canyon Drive.

If possible, drivers should try to take alternate routes including Landau Boulevard in Cathedral City, and Farrell Drive or Sunrise Way in Palm Springs.
