Street racing is being blamed for a chain-reaction crash on I-15 that caused serious traffic delays Friday afternoon. The crash happened around 12:25 p.m. on southbound I-15 between Wild Wash Road and Dale Evans Parkway.

The crash involved a black BMW, a yellow Chevy Cobalt, a while Infiniti sedan, a silver Jeep Liberty and a black Acura RSX. It is unclear which vehicles were involved in the street racing. The crash caused the Acura to roll over, and the BMW came to rest facing the wrong way in the center divider. Debris was scattered across all lanes of traffic.

No major injuries were reported, although three ambulances responded to the scene. Traffic was slowed on southbound I-15 while the scene was cleared. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) is investigating the incident.

“Street racing endangers so many innocent motorists on the road. The people responsible for this crash deserve serious consequences,” said Attorney Walter Clark, founder of Walter Clark Legal Group.
