A woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash in Victorville Friday night. The collision occurred near Dos Palmas and Mesa View around 7 p.m. Police arrived to find an overturned Toyota 4Runner and a Dodge Challenger with significant damage. Both were blocking the roadway.

A woman was rescued from the 4Runner and transported to a hospital for unknown injuries. It is not clear whether the Challenger driver sustained injuries.

The cause of the crash is still being investigated. However, a witness claims that the Challenger driver ran a stop sign, causing the two-vehicle crash.

According to a Virginia Tech study, approximately 700,000 reported auto accidents happen at stop signs every year, and 77% of them involve stop sign violations.

“Failure to stop at a stop sign can have serious consequences. We’re hoping for a full recovery for the driver injured in this collision,” said Attorney Walter Clark, founder of Walter Clark Legal Group.
