Veterans University Comes to Palm Springs a Second Time

Congressman Raul Ruiz invites veterans and their families to the second annual Veterans University at the Palm Springs Convention Center on Saturday, May 20. This program provides local veterans with information on benefits and services available to them.

The event consists of classroom-like sessions on various topics. Presenters will teach vets about their options for healthcare and disability benefits. They will also discuss mental health, transportation, education, and employment resources.

Congressman Ruiz launched Veterans University last year, in an effort to better the lives of local veterans. The program pulls together local, state and national partners committed to helping veterans and their families.

The event runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Pre-register for the event online, or register at the door. Veterans University is open to veterans and active service members, as well as their family members and anyone else seeking information on veterans resources.
