Driven by a purpose to give victims a voice, Annie came to the firm with 20 years of experience as a prosecutor with the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office. Annie served as a trial attorney and ultimately as a managing deputy district attorney. During her career as a prosecutor, she fearlessly navigated the courtroom, developing an expertise in litigating the most complex criminal cases. Annie was a member of the gang team, the sexual abuse and child abuse team, the homicide team and finished her career as a supervisor overseeing the felony prosecution unit.
Annie has tried over 40 jury trials to verdict including 7 murders, 18 sexual abuse and child abuse cases and 5 gang cases. Over the years, she tried everything from a co-defendant, two jury death penalty case, to multiple not guilty by reason of insanity murder cases, a dual jury evidence-based prosecution involving the rape of an 18 month old, a torture case with a cultural defense, proving up post-Sanchez gang enhancements in a 3-defendant gang trial, felony-murder, premeditated and deliberate murder and a myriad of other child molestation, adult sexual assault, gang and domestic violence cases. The courtroom was where Annie thrived.
Annie’s work was rooted in serving those who often had no voice within the criminal justice system. Whether they were silenced by shame, fear, threat of retribution or death, Annie fought and obtained justice for those who had experienced unimaginable hardship, pain and loss. These experiences have not only shaped her into a fierce and skilled litigator but also a compassionate listener with a deep passion for standing up for those who have been wronged.
After two decades working within the criminal justice system, Annie has made the leap to civil litigation so she can focus fully on making victims whole again. She understands firsthand the trauma that personal injury victims face, and she is driven to provide the support and advocacy they need to heal. Annie brings the same dedication, empathy, and courtroom prowess to her personal injury practice as she did in her criminal cases. She is deeply committed to ensuring that every client feels heard, supported, and relentlessly advocated for. Whether pursuing justice through negotiation or litigation, Annie approaches each case with the same level of passion and commitment that has defined her career – ensuring that a victim’s voice will be heard.
Annie was born and raised in Southern California. She graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara with highest honors and attended Pepperdine University School of Law.
