Congratulations to this year’s recipients of the Walter Clark Legal Group Public Service Scholarship! Each of these deserving high school graduates will be attending a 4-year college or university, or 2-year community college, this fall. Their intended areas of study will enable them to pursue careers in law or other areas of public service. In addition, these students exhibited academic & civic excellence, including community volunteer hours, throughout their entire high school career. 2024 Winners
Walter Clark Legal Group Public Service Scholarship Eligibility and Application Process
Walter Clark Legal Group is proud to support high school graduating seniors in the communities we serve who are pursuing higher education and careers in public service. In 2024, Walter Clark Legal Group presented $80,000 in scholarships to graduating high school seniors from 40 schools in 11 school districts across 3 counties in Southern California. These students come from the greater Palm Springs area, the Victorville area, Morongo Basin, Yucca Valley, Joshua Tree, Banning and Beaumont, and El Centro and its surrounding area in the Imperial Valley.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, a student must:
- be a graduating high school senior
- have exhibited academic & civic excellence, including community volunteer hours
- be enrolled in and attending classes this fall at a 4-year college/university or 2-year community college
- pursue a career in political science, law, or another area of public service (e.g., education, counseling, social work, law enforcement, medicine, firefighting, etc.)
Application Process
The scholarship recipient will be chosen by their high school’s selection committee (i.e., counselor(s), teacher(s), school administration). Therefore, students interested in this scholarship should contact their high school’s Career & College counselor to inform them of their interest and follow the high school selection committee’s application process. Once the high school selection committee has chosen a recipient, the high school counselor will inform Walter Clark Legal Group and the student of their selection. Students/counselors/teachers/parents should not send applications to Walter Clark Legal Group to review.
College & Career Counselors from high schools in the Coachella Valley, Victor Valley, the Morongo Basin, Banning/Beaumont, and Imperial Valley who are interested in receiving more information about this scholarship for their graduating seniors should email sromero@walterclark.com.
