When they are not – and an innocent consumer is injured or killed — the responsible parties must be held legally accountable.

For more than 30 years, Walter Clark Legal Group has represented people injured by dangerous and defective products. Our personal injury attorneys are experienced at facing mega-corporations and powerful insurance companies.

Our attorneys in Coachella Valley accept product liability claims resulting from the following medical devices:

DePuy Artificial Hip Systems

Following a flood of complaints, Johnson & Johnson recalled two of its DePuy Orthopaedics artificial hip replacement products because of high failure rates. The faulty devices are the ASR Hip Resurfacing System and the ASR XL Acetabular System. Research showed that one in eight patients needed revision surgery within five years. An estimated 93,000 people were affected.

Fentanyl Pain Patch

Painkiller patches containing the drug Fentanyl were recalled because they caused fatal overdoses for some users. The recalled patches were sold under the brand name Duragesic by PriCara and generically by Sandoz, Inc., as well as under Actavis’s Abrika and Actavis labels. Some families of patch users who died of fatal overdoses filed liability lawsuits and won millions of dollars in damages.

Stryker Hip Implants

Stryker Orthopaedics voluntarily recalled its Rejuvenate modular and ABG-11 modular-neck hip stem implants after widespread reports of wear and tear within the devices that resulted in tissue damage, severe pain, and swelling. Some patients experienced metallosis, a dangerous buildup of metal debris in the body’s soft tissues. Many patients required hospitalization and painful corrective surgeries.

Transvaginal Mesh

Many women who suffered pelvic organ prolapse or stress urinary incontinence had a transvaginal mesh surgically inserted to help hold the internal organs in place. Resulting complications included bladder perforation, pelvic hemorrhage, mesh erosion, vaginal pain and infection, urinary incontinence, and pain during intercourse.
