A driver was killed in a fiery head-on crash Thursday morning. The crash occurred around 5 a.m. at the 10900 block of Hesperia Road. Details of the crash are unclear, but the vehicles involved were a Ford SUV and a Chevrolet sedan. Both vehicles sustained major front end damage.

When deputies arrived, they found the Chevrolet on fire. The vehicle’s driver and passenger were trapped inside. The driver was given CPR as he was transported to a local hospital. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The SUV driver and the Chevrolet passenger sustained moderate injuries. Both women were airlifted to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center with unspecified injuries.

Hesperia Road was closed in both directions from Mesa Street to Eucalyptus Street while police investigated the fiery head-on crash.

“Our hearts go out to the family of the victim who lost his life in this crash. We’re praying that the other driver recovers quickly,” said Attorney Walter Clark, founder of Walter Clark Legal Group.
