Motorcyclist Suffers Critical Injuries in Crash

A motorcyclist suffered critical injuries in a Palm Springs crash Tuesday evening. The crash occurred around 6:10 p.m. at N. Indian Canyon Dr. and E. Via Escuela. Police say a sedan and a motorcycle collided, but further crash details were not available.

Authorities transported the motorcyclist to the hospital for critical injuries. His current condition is unknown. Police closed down the intersection, as well as northbound Vista Chino and southbound Via Olivera, for about four hours during the investigation.

Another Motorcyclist Dies in Cabazon Crash

Another accident between a motorcycle and a vehicle occurred two days earlier in Cabazon. The motorcyclist was killed in that crash, which occurred at the intersection of Bonita Avenue and Magnolia Street. He was later identified as 31-year-old Mario Ortiz of Beaumont. He died at the scene. The fatal crash remains under investigation.
