Tour Bus Crash Kills 1, Injures 26

One person died and 26 others suffered injuries in a tour bus crash Monday in Boron. Officials say the bus crossed into oncoming traffic and struck two cars. The accident occurred around 12 p.m. near mile marker 7, about two miles east of the US 395 junction.

The eastbound bus crossed the double yellow line for unknown reasons. An occupant in a white Subaru died at the scene. Two occupants in a white Chevrolet suffered major injuries. They were taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Everyone on the bus suffered injuries ranging in severity. Eight ambulances transported the injured occupants to various hospitals. Helicopters were requested, but weather prevented them from responding.

The bus was carrying 26 people traveling from Fresno to Las Vegas. Authorities say all three vehicles rolled over at least once during the tour bus crash.

Desert Hot Springs Tour Bus Crash Kills 13

Thirteen people died last October in a violent tour bus crash in Desert Hot Springs. The cause of that fatal crash is still under investigation. However, the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) reported that four of the bus’ tires had low tread, violating safety standards.

“We’re praying for the victims suffering as a result of this bus crash,” said Attorney Walter Clark, founder of Walter Clark Legal Group.
