Walter Clark Legal Group offers special promo code, WCLGRIDE, this Labor Day Weekend for sponsored rides home through car service smartphone app, Lyft. The promo code is valid for one-way rides in the Coachella Valley only between the hours of 10:00PM and 3:00AM on Saturday, September 2nd; Sunday, September 3rd; and Monday, September 4th, 2017. The use of LYFT by Walter Clark Legal Group for sponsored rides is the latest in their long-running Safe Ride Home Program.
The Safe Ride Home Program started years ago as an effort to keep alcohol-impaired drivers off the road. Anyone 21 years or older operating a regular passenger vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of 0.08% or higher is considered “alcohol impaired” and prohibited by California law from driving. Public services like Walter Clark Legal Group’s Safe Ride Home Program provide a complimentary alternative to breaking the law during the holidays.
“I have and just about everybody I know has at some time driven when they shouldn’t, and the reason that happens is that after you have a drink, you think you’re fine. That’s the effect of impairment,” said Walter Clark, founder of Walter Clark Legal Group. “If you see somebody who doesn’t look like they should be driving, we’ll pay for the ride.”
Bar and restaurant employees, and party hosts/hostesses, are encouraged to use the promo code for guests who need a designated driver to take them home. The LYFT promo code, WCLGRIDE, can be used by new and existing Lyft users. It is redeemable for a single one-way ride home within the Coachella Valley cities of Palm Springs, Cathedral City, Desert Hot Springs, Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert, Indian Wells, La Quinta, Bermuda Dunes, Indio, and Coachella.
