Andres Maldonado Wins Student Award

WCLG’s very own Fernando Cazarez was out in the Imperial Valley community again recently, this time presenting the next Student of the Month Award to Andres Maldonado at Southwest High School. Andres has brought an outstanding combination of athletic discipline and academic rigor to his high school career, a fact which has not gone unnoticed by his teachers, mentors and peers.

Future Plans and Future Success

According to Andres’ father, Andres will be pursuing studies in civil engineering while attending Chico University this upcoming school year. Andres’ father also delivered a message to the WCLG team, saying:

“Mr. Clark, we really appreciate everything you do not only what you did for my son this time, but for everything you do with our community. We notice you are very involved in helping our students.”
