A man was injured in a motorcycle crash in Apple Valley last Tuesday. The crash occurred around 6:20 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 18 and Tao Road. The motorcyclist collided with a Ford SUV and was thrown about 25 feet away from his bike.
The motorcyclist seemed to be responsive when authorities arrived. He was transported to a local hospital, but the extent of his injuries is unknown. The SUV driver was not hurt.
Details of the crash are still unclear, but it appears that the SUV was traveling east on Highway 18 and attempting to turn left onto Tao Road when it crashed into the motorcycle. Police are still investigating the motorcycle crash.
“Drivers always need to double check for motorcyclists before making a left hand turn. Motorists making left hand turns are the No. 1 cause of motorcyclist fatalities,” said Attorney Walter Clark, founder of Walter Clark Legal Group.
