Canine Carnage: Dog Attacks on Children

Sadly, dogs killed 31 people in the U.S. last year. Of those deaths, Pit Bulls and Rottweilers accounted for 77% of them. Every 17 days, pit bulls kill one American. Nearly half of the victims of these dog attacks are children.

One such victim was Tyler Trammell-Huston, age 9, from Linda, California. Tyler was killed by his sister’s three Pit Bulls, which his sister referred to as her “babies.” There are over 4.5 million dog bites causing injury to people every year.
