Graco is recalling about 36,000 high chairs sold in the U.S. in Canada for a fall hazard. According to the Atlanta-based company, the rear legs can pivot out of position, making the high chair unstable and creating a fall hazard.
Graco has received 38 reports of the defect, which include reports of five injuries to children whose high chairs fell over. The injuries have all been minor bumps and bruises.
The products affected by the recall are model number 1969721 Graco Table2Table 6-in-1 Highchairs, which were only sold at Walmart stores from October 2016 through December 2017. These high chairs have white cushions with gold and gray polka dots. Parents should check for the model number on the underside of the toddler seat or the back of the booster seat.
The company urges customers to stop using the high chairs immediately and contact Graco for a free repair kit.
