A motorcyclist suffered life-threatening injuries in a crash with a pickup truck in Hesperia Thursday evening. The motorcycle accident occurred around 5 p.m. near the intersection of Seventh Avenue and Olive Street.
Driver Hits Motorcyclist While Attempting Lefthand Turn
According to witnesses, a Chevrolet Avalanche was headed north on Seventh Avenue when the driver attempted to turn left onto Olive Street. At the same time, a motorcyclist was heading south on Seventh. At the intersection, the vehicles crashed. The motorcyclist was then ejected from the bike.
Police say the motorcyclist, an adult male, was unconscious when they arrived at the scene. He was taken to the hospital, then airlifted to Loma Linda University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. His current condition is unknown. The pickup truck driver was not injured in the accident and is cooperating with the investigation.
“We are wishing the motorcyclist a quick recovery. Drivers, please remember to check twice for motorcyclists. It could be the difference between life and death,” said Attorney Walter Clark, founder of Walter Clark Legal Group.
