Three people suffered injuries in a head-on Palmdale Road crash Friday in Adelanto. The crash occurred around 3:55 p.m. A blue Ford Explorer and a silver Infiniti sedan collided head-on at Palmdale Road and Verbena Road.
The male driver of the sedan was partially ejected during the head-on crash. An ambulance transported the victim to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center for serious injuries. Two people inside the Ford were also hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries. Police then closed eastbound Palmdale Road at Monte Vista to clear the scene.
Palmdale Road Crash Under Investigation
Police are investigating the cause of the Palmdale Road crash. It is unclear whether the occupants involved in the collision were wearing seat belts. According to the CDC, wearing a seat belt greatly lowers the risk of being ejected from a vehicle in a crash. People who are not wearing a seat belt during a crash are 30 times more likely to be ejected.
“Head-on collisions are some of the deadliest crashes, so we’re grateful that no one suffered life-threatening injuries in this accident,” said Attorney Walter Clark, founder of Walter Clark Legal Group.
