Now that the month of January is almost over, experts across the Coachella Valley have concluded that the first month of 2020 has been noticeably safer for drivers and pedestrians than a year ago at this time. Since January 1st, 2020, three individuals have perished on Coachella Valley roads. Compared to the 10 individuals who lost their lives in January, 2019, this is a substantial improvement.

A growing number of information campaigns and advocacy groups have helped spread knowledge and information throughout the Coachella Valley that have helped reveal just how easy it can be to create a tragedy during your daily commute. Similarly, experts have also pointed to larger, long-term trends which have shown that traffic fatalities do appear to be reducing, albeit it at a slow pace, over time.

Whatever the reasons for this reduction may be, it is certainly welcomed by the community.
