According to a recent announcement from Volvo, the famed international carmaker will be recalling over 85,000 vehicles from their sedan, SUV and wagon lineup due to a faulty fuel pump. Based on information provided by the company, the faulty fuel pump could fail during use, causing the engine to stall and cut power to vehicle.
As of the announcement, Volvo has not discovered any accidents or injuries caused as a result of the recall. Hybrid vehicles which are included in the recall may be able to temporarily avoid power failure thanks to battery power. However, this is only a very short-term solution, and the vehicle will lose power soon after the failure of the pump.
