Police Searching for Hit-and-Run Suspect

Police are searching for a hit-and-run suspect who injured a woman Thursday in Victorville. The hit-and-run crash occurred at the intersection of Mojave Drive and Del Rey Drive around 12 p.m.

The victim, a 53-year-old woman, was crossing the intersection from the north side of Mojave when she was struck by the vehicle. The vehicle, described as a black Jeep or other small SUV, was turning left onto Mojave Drive from Del Rey Drive when it struck the woman. The driver then fled the scene.

The pedestrian suffered injuries to her head, back and legs. She is being treated at a local hospital, but her current condition is unknown.  

The Victorville Sheriff’s Station is investigating the crash and searching for the vehicle. Anyone with information on the hit-and-run suspect is encouraged to contact authorities at (760) 241-2911.
