Guest Attempts CPR on 8-Year-Old Boy
According to hotel management, Moore was playing a game in the pool with other children from the party. A party guest pulled an unconscious Moore out of the water sometime around 9 p.m. A woman in attendance then began CPR and other life-saving measures on Moore. However, she could not save the 8-year-old boy.
Desert Hot Springs police and Riverside County firefighters responded to the scene shortly afterward. They transported Moore to Desert Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 10:43 p.m. Police believe the drowning was an accident, but the incident remains under investigation.
