130 Traffic Citations Issued During Special Enforcement Operation

The Victorville Sheriff’s Station issued 130 citations during a special enforcement operation in April and May. The extra enforcement was made possible by the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant through the City of Victorville.

Officers conducted a special red-light operation for five days during both months. During that time, they issued 75 citations to drivers who failed to stop at red lights. The red-light enforcement took place at six different major intersections in Victorville.

The second part of the special enforcement operation took place along Air Expressway over the course of a week. Deputies cited 65 motorists for exceeding the posted speed limit.

The purpose of these types of operations is to not only keep the roads safe through enforcement, but to educate drivers on traffic safety.

“We’re thankful to the Victorville Sheriff’s Station for conducting these special operations to keep our roadways safe,” said Attorney Walter Clark, founder of Legal Group.
