2023 Safe Ride Home Program

Many people like to go out to celebrate national holidays, drive to a local bar or party, and find themselves too impaired to drive home. Accidents are more likely to happen during holidays and weekends because of intoxicated drivers behind the wheel. Walter Clark Legal Group proudly announces its Safe Ride Home Program on Eventbrite for this year’s holidays. Dates for the Safe Ride Home Program scheduled for 2023 include:

Reimbursements are offered for rides taken exclusively between 10:00 PM PST on the evenings indicated to 3:00 AM PST the following morning.

Uber, Lyft, and cab rides taken on the following dates between 10:00PM PST and 3:00AM PST of the following evening are eligible for reimbursement this 4th of July:

The Safe Ride Home Program is intended for people who drive to a bar or restaurant, have one to several alcoholic drinks, and unexpectedly find themselves over the legal BAC limit. For over a decade, Walter Clark Legal Group has sponsored rides home to keep drivers like these off the road during busy holidays, when the number of accidents is higher than average.

Participant & Reimbursement Requirements

To be eligible for reimbursement, ride share and cab rides must be:

A single one-way ride from a bar, restaurant, or residence to a safe destination (a hotel or residence)
Taken between 10:00PM PST of the indicated eligibility date and 3:00AM PST of the following day.
Taken within the Coachella Valley cities of Palm Springs, Palm Desert, Cathedral City, Desert Hot Springs, Rancho Mirage, Indian Wells, La Quinta, Bermuda Dunes, Indio, Coachella; or the Southern California cities of Victorville, El Centro, Banning, Yucca Valley, or Morongo Valley
A maximum fare of $50

Participants must be of legal drinking age (21 or older) and must have a valid driver’s license. Participants must sign up for a Reimbursement Coupon on Eventbrite to get reimbursed for their Uber, Lyft, or taxi ride by the deadline indicated in the event description. After the event, registered participants will receive emailed instructions on submitting their receipt for reimbursement. A copy of your receipt will be required and must show the fare amount, time, and the pick-up and drop-off locations. Reimbursements will be processed within 30 days of receiving the request and receipt. Reimbursement checks will be mailed to the participant’s residence.

Limit 1 reimbursement per household per day.

Walter Clark Legal Group wants everyone to celebrate the holidays safely and avoid drunk driving.

Drivers are responsible for keeping the roads safe, including taking a cab home instead of driving drunk.
