A driver was killed in a head-on collision on Highway 395 Thursday night. The three-vehicle accident occurred 11:23 p.m. near mile marker 37, about 10 miles south of Kramer Junction.
The driver of a Toyota Corolla was traveling south on Highway 395 when she drifted across the solid yellow line into oncoming traffic. Her vehicle then collided head-on with a Toyota Sienna. A northbound Toyota Prius then crashed into the left side of the Corolla.
Driver Dies at the Scene
The Corolla driver, a 21-year-old La Mesa woman whose identity has not been released, died at the scene. The occupants of the other two vehicles all sustained injuries and were taken to local hospitals.
The crash remains under investigation, but police do not believe alcohol or drugs were a factor. Anyone with information on the fatal head-on collision should contact the Victorville California Highway Patrol (CHP) at (760) 241-1186.
