Three people were injured in a pickup truck accident along Highway 74 Tuesday morning. The crash occurred around 7:45 a.m. near Vista Point, when the eastbound truck went off the side of the mountain. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), it appears the driver made an unsafe turning maneuver, causing the accident. The pickup truck then fell down 75-100 feet.

Firefighters had to extricate three people from the crashed pickup truck. One person was airlifted to a trauma center for major injuries. The two other injured individuals were taken by ambulance to the hospital with moderate injuries.
Authorities closed all lanes while they investigated the crash. Further details about the accident have not been released.
