Adidas Customers Warned of Data Breach

A few million customers may have been affected by a data breach on the Adidas U.S. website. The athletic wear company says that leaked data includes contact information, usernames and passwords. Adidas does not believe credit card information was compromised in the breach.

The company is alerting customers who purchased items on adidas.com/US of the possible security breach. Last week, an “unauthorized party” claimed to have acquired data associated with some of the company’s customers.

Adidas found out about the breach on June 26 and informed customers about it right away. However, the company is unsure when the breach took place. The security breach is currently under review.
