Apple Valley Motorcyclist Ejected from Bike Dies

An Apple Valley motorcyclist died after he was ejected in a solo motorcycle crash Saturday night. The accident occurred around 10:30 p.m. on Joshua Street, south of Roundup Way. Police found 45-year-old Jorge Luis Mendoza in the roadway. Emergency responders flew the injured motorcyclist to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. He died early Sunday morning.

Mendoza was apparently riding his 2016 Yamaha motorcycle south on Joshua Street when he made an unsafe turning movement. He then traveled onto uneven terrain and lost control of the motorcycle. He crashed into a mailbox on the shoulder and was ejected from the bike.
