Is your Device Included in EpiPen Recall?

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced an EpiPen recall earlier this week. According to the FDA report, certain EpiPen and EpiPen Jr. devices might have a defect that can cause failure to activate.

The recall includes 13 batches of EpiPens manufactured between December 2015 and July 2016. According to drug manufacturer Mylan, there have been two reports of the EpiPen failing to work in an emergency. However, both reports occurred outside the U.S.

Customers Should Check EpiPen Recall Website

Visit the Mylan recall website to see if your EpiPen is included in the recall. If your device has been recalled, call 1-877-650-3494 for a replacement voucher code. Customers can bring the voucher code to their pharmacy for a free replacement. Customers should also keep their recalled EpiPens until they receive their replacement. However, if your EpiPen fails to activate in an emergency, seek medical help immediately.

“These life-saving devices are crucial in a medical emergency. If your EpiPen is included in this recall, be sure to call for a replacement right away,” said Attorney Walter Clark, founder of Walter Clark Legal Group.
