Lexus Vehicles Recalled for Fuel Leak Issue
Toyota is recalling 115,000 Lexus vehicles for a fuel leak issue that can pose a fire hazard. According to Toyota, a part in the engine can harden over time and crack, causing a fuel leak.
The vehicles affected by the recall are 2006-2013 Lexus IS 350, 2010-2014 Lexus IS 350C, and 2007-2011 Lexus GS 350 and GS 450h models. They are all equipped with 3.5-liter V-6 engines. It is unclear whether there have been any injuries related to the defect.
Owners of the affected vehicles will be alerted beginning in August. The solution will be replacing the fuel delivery pipe with one that has improved pulsation dampers.
