New Safety Precautions in Riverside County
This Tuesday, health officials in Riverside County have announced a new series of safety protocols designed to help reduce the spread of coronavirus in the area. According to local health experts, residents of Riverside County should prepare some form of nose and mouth covering when traveling to essential destinations outside of their home. The covering could take a variety of forms, ranging from a bandana to a more conventional surgical mask.
Given the fact that 80 new cases of COVID-19 have appeared in Riverside County on Tuesday alone, these health precautions apply to all situations when an individual leaves their house. In fact, county health officials are recommending that individuals continue to wear these protective face coverings if or when they are working outside of their home. According to the Washington Post, the CDC is also considering implementing similar suggestions in the near future.
It should also be noted that covering your face is NOT a replacement for social distancing, which remains in full effect.
