A woman was rescued from a burning vehicle on I-15 in Victorville last month. The woman was driving a Ford Escort on I-15 near Mariposa Road when she crashed into a utility pole. The impact sent the vehicle through a chain link fence. It came to rest on the driver side and caught fire.
Driver Trapped in Burning Vehicle
The driver was trapped in the vehicle for a short time before a California Highway Patrol (CHP) officer responded to the scene. He pulled the woman from the burning vehicle. An ambulance took her to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center with minor injuries.
Police are still investigating the cause of the collision. Mariposa Road was closed in both directions near the Red Roof Inn for the utility pole to be repaired.
“Thank you to the wonderful CHP officer for his quick and brave response to this accident. The outcome could easily have been far worse for the driver if she had not received help in time,” said Attorney Walter Clark, founder of Walter Clark Legal Group.
