In what will likely come as a disappointment for many residents of Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley alike, the annual 4th of July fireworks celebration has been canceled. As part of local, state, and nationwide efforts to combat the ongoing spread of coronavirus, this particular celebratory event, along with a variety of other fireworks shows and other gatherings in the region, has been called off for 2020.
Although fireworks may not be on the agenda for many of us this year, it’s not too late to plan a fun day. In fact, several communities across the Coachella Valley have been actively planning fun events that you can do from the comfort of your own home which bring the festivities of this outstanding holiday straight to your doorstep. You can learn more about these great opportunities here.
From all of us here, we hope you have a great Fourth of July, and we look forward to hearing more of your own stories about this year’s unique celebrations.
