Pedestrian Critically Injured on North Palm Canyon Drive

A pedestrian was critically injured in an accident in Palm Springs Sunday, prompting the closure of North Palm Canyon Drive. The crash occurred around 7:30 p.m. along the 900 block of the road.

The full details of the crash are unclear, but police say a male pedestrian was struck by a Honda Civic. The vehicle’s windshield was smashed after the accident.

The critically injured pedestrian was transported to the hospital for his injuries. There has not yet been an update on the man’s condition.  Police closed North Palm Canyon Drive in both directions until 12:30 a.m. Monday.
