Pedestrian Killed in Hesperia Motorcycle Accident

A Hesperia man was killed in a motorcycle accident early Saturday morning. Paramedics responded to the 9300 block of Timberlane Avenue just after 2 a.m., where they found 32-year-old Luis Rosales lying unconscious in the street. He was rushed to Desert Valley Hospital but was pronounced dead at 2:47 a.m.

Along with Rosales, authorities found 54-year-old Todd Gareau and a motorcycle in the roadway. According to a family member of Rosales, Rosales had just gotten home from work and was standing outside his residence when he was struck by a motorcycle. It is unclear whether Gareau is the motorcyclist in question, as an official statement from police has yet to be released. The motorcycle accident remains under investigation.

In 2014, 4,884 pedestrians were killed and 65,000 were injured in crashes. Pedestrians make up 14% of all traffic fatalities, even though they account for only 10.9% of trips.

“Our thoughts are with the family who lost their loved one in this terrible accident. We hope police will have answers for them soon,” said Attorney Walter Clark, founder of Walter Clark Legal Group.
