Red Light Runner Causes Two-Vehicle Crash in Hesperia

A woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash in Hesperia this month. The crash occurred around 10:15 a.m. at the intersection of Main Street and Cataba Road. Authorities say the driver of a black SUV was traveling west on Main Street and ran a red light, crashing into a sedan heading south on Cataba Road.

When police responded to the crash, the driver of the sedan was lying in the road, being tended to by a group of bystanders. She was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries. The SUV’s two occupants were uninjured.

According to the Hesperia Sheriff’s Station, the driver was looking for Highway 395 when he ran the red light and caused the accident. The two-vehicle crash is still under investigation.

“Even if the driver inadvertently ran the red light, his failure to pay attention to the traffic signal led to the accident,” said Attorney Walter Clark, founder of Walter Clark Legal Group.
