Red Light Runner Causes Yucca Valley Four-Vehicle Crash

Red Light Runner Causes Yucca Valley Four-Vehicle Crash

At least two people suffered injuries in a four-vehicle crash in Yucca Valley Friday. The accident occurred at Twentynine Palms Highway and La Contenta Road around 12:30 p.m. According to the initial investigation, a driver traveling east on Twentynine Palms Highway ran the red light. He then crashed into at least one vehicle and caused the four-vehicle crash.

At least two people suffered minor injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). Paramedics took at least one person to Desert Regional Medical Center for treatment.

After the crash, traffic was diverted from eastbound Twentynine Palms Highway to La Contenta Road, then Yucca Trail. The crash remains under investigation.

“Whether the driver ran a red light due to impatience, distraction or impairment, the result was a serious crash involving multiple vehicles. We are grateful no one suffered major injuries in this crash,” said Attorney Walter Clark, founder of Walter Clark Legal Group.
