Police are searching for a hit-and-run suspect who struck a child in Victorville Thursday. A young boy was riding a bicycle near Center Street Park and Lacy Street at 7:20 p.m. when he was hit by a vehicle. The driver fled the scene.
Police say the driver headed south onto Center Street and then onto Hesperia Road. The vehicle has been described as a white and tan minivan.
The boy suffered major head trauma and was taken to Victor Valley Global Medical Center. He was later airlifted to Loma Linda University Medical Center. Authorities are still investigating the incident and are working to locate the hit-and-run suspect.
“It’s unconscionable that someone could hit a child and then drive away. We sincerely hope the police are able to bring this suspect to justice,” said Attorney Walter Clark, founder of Walter Clark Legal Group.
