Britax has issued a stroller recall due to a risk of infants falling from attached car seats. The recall affects more than 700,000 strollers from Britax Child Safety Inc. Models included in the recall are B-Agile and BOB Motion strollers. The defect affects the stollers’ “Click and Go” receiver mounts, which allows parents to connect a car seat carrier to the stroller.
Britax has received 33 complaints of car seats detaching from the stroller and falling. These incidents have resulted in 26 injuries to children, including bruises, cuts and bumps to the head. These strollers have been on the market since 2011 and are available at stores including Toys ‘R’ Us and Target, and online at Amazon and diapers.com.
Check Stroller Recall Website for Affected Models
Britax advises parents to stop using the strollers as travel systems with the car seat carrier right away. However, the strollers can still be safely used in the reclined mode for an infant. Owners should throw away the Click and Go receiver. Britax is providing free repair kits for anyone with a recalled stroller. To see if your stroller is part of the recall, check the Britax recall website. Contact the company for a free repair kit at 1-844-227-0300 or st*************@****ax.com.
