Staying Safe During the Holiday Season
It’s no secret that many of us start to feel short on time and energy during the holiday season. Unfortunately, this is the time when drivers are at highest risk of accidentally causing serious accidents on the road. In 2017 alone, distracted driving was responsible for 3,166 deaths.
As a general rule, drivers should remember to avoid all activities that could result in distracted driving, including:
- Rummaging through packages / gifts
- Driving while fatigued
- Engaging in lengthy phone calls
It also helps to be hyper aware of drivers around you during the holiday season. Just because you are being safe doesn’t mean that other drivers are practicing the same good habits!
