Tractor Trailer Runs Red Light, Hits Stopped Vehicle
Four people suffered injuries when their stopped vehicle was rear-ended by a semi truck in Adelanto Saturday. The crash happened around 2:15 p.m. at Highway 395 and Chamberlain Way.
Adelanto Mayor Pro Tem Jermaine Wright, Sr. witnessed the crash. He was in his vehicle about to enter the intersection when he saw the tractor trailer run the red light and crash into a Toyota Corolla, which was stopped on northbound Highway 395 waiting to turn left.
3 Children Injured in Stopped Vehicle
According to Wright, the tractor trailer swerved and its trailer tires struck the back of the Corolla. The Corolla was carrying two adults and three children. Everyone but the male driver was taken to the hospital for injuries.
“Our prayers are with the victims recovering from this crash. There is no excuse for any driver to run a red light and endanger other people—especially a driver operating a big rig,” said Attorney Walter Clark, founder of Walter Clark Legal Group.
