A pickup truck crashed into a Victorville homeless shelter after being struck by a sedan on Amargosa Road Thursday morning. Just after 9 a.m., the driver of an Infiniti I30 attempted to make a left turn onto Amargosa Road when she struck the northbound Silverado. The impact spun the truck into the High Desert Homeless Services building.

The truck driver, an off-duty Sheriff’s deputy, suffered minor injuries and did not require treatment. The Infiniti driver was transported to St. Joseph Health, St. Mary’s for minor injuries. The homeless shelter sustained minor damage to the front of the building, including a broken window.

The crash occurred on the same day as a crash in Adelanto that also involved a vehicle attempting to make a lefthand turn.

“We’re glad the Sheriff’s deputy is okay and are happy to hear no one at the shelter was harmed in what could have been a very harmful crash,” said Attorney Walter Clark, founder of Walter Clark Legal Group.
