Two Big Rig Accidents Block I-10 Lanes

Two big rig accidents occurred on eastbound I-10 early Saturday morning, causing lane closures. The truck accidents happened around 1 a.m., one at Eagle Mountain Road and the other at Red Cloud Mine Road. Both semis were found flipped over on their sides.

The semi that crashed at Eagle Mountain Road was carrying water bottles. Several cases of the water bottles scattered across eastbound I-10. It is unclear whether anyone was injured in that crash.

Lane Closed Until Saturday Afternoon

The second accident involved a big rig carrying beer cases, as well as a tow truck and a tour bus. One person in the big rig suffered minor injuries in the accident. Police shut down the No. 1 and No. 2 lane to clear the two big rig accidents. The No. 1 lane reopened around 4 a.m., but the No. 2 lane remained closed until 12:45 p.m.

“Thankfully, no one appears to have suffered major injuries in these accidents. Big rig accidents continue to plague I-10, so please be especially cautious when driving there,” said Attorney Walter Clark, founder of Walter Clark Legal Group.
