Victorville Pedestrian Struck While Crossing the Street

A pedestrian was fatally struck while crossing the street early Wednesday morning in Victorville. Police identified the pedestrian as 57-year-old Betina Ann Peschel of Victorville.

According to officials, Peschel was attempting to cross D street near Sixth Street around 1:19 a.m. when she was struck by a Chevrolet Impala and a Dodge Ram pickup truck. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Victorville Sheriff’s Station is investigating the fatal pedestrian crash. So far, alcohol and drugs do not appear to be factors. Anyone with information about the crash can contact the Victorville Sheriff’s Station at (760) 241-2911.
