Drunk driving is suspected in a four-car crash that injured two people in Palm Springs last Friday. The accident occurred around 3 p.m. near the intersection of Vista Chino and Palm Canyon Drive.
According to one driver whose vehicle was hit, a driver ran a red light on Palm Canyon, then crashed into a car that was waiting to turn onto Palm Canyon.
A a 65-year-old man in one of the vehicles suffered serious injuries. He was transported to the hospital. Robert Manning, whose vehicle was struck while he was waiting to turn onto Vista Chino, said his son and daughter sustained minor injuries. However, they were checked out at the scene and not hospitalized.
Palm Springs police suspect alcohol was a factor in the four-car crash. However, it is unclear whether anyone has been arrested. The crash investigation is ongoing.
