Pedestrian Struck by an SUV in Victorville

A pedestrian suffered injuries after being struck by an SUV in Victorville Monday. The pedestrian crash occurred around 6:30 p.m. along the 15000 Hook Boulevard. According to a witness, the pedestrian attempted to run across the roadway. She was then struck by an SUV in the westbound lane.

First responders transported the pedestrian to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. She suffered a leg injury and some small abrasions.

Pedestrian was not Using a Crosswalk

The witness said the driver is her son’s therapist, and she was watching her drive in. She claims the woman dashed out in front of traffic. Police also say the pedestrian was not in a marked crosswalk.

After the crash, the SUV driver remained on the scene and cooperated with investigators. However, police have not yet released the official cause of the crash.

“Pedestrian safety is everyone’s responsibility. While drivers certainly need to look out for them, pedestrians also need to practice safe habits,” said Attorney Walter Clark, founder of Walter Clark Legal Group.
