Police Searching for Bicycle Hit-and-Run Suspect

A Barstow man died Monday after he was critically injured in a bicycle hit-and-run. The crash occurred on the 1000 block of East Main Street around 1:15 p.m. Police say the 40-year-old male bicyclist suffered severe injuries after he was struck by a red pickup truck. He was taken to Barstow Community Hospital in critical condition. He was pronounced dead shortly after. Authorities have not yet released his identity.

Police are still looking for the hit-and-run driver. They say the driver was in a red 1990s Chevy S-10 pickup truck when he fled the scene. The truck also has black spray paint on it. Unfortunately, they do not have a description of the driver at this time.
