Skateboarder Killed in Crash with Passenger Bus

A skateboarder was killed Thursday morning in Victorville after crashing into a passenger bus. The crash occurred just before 9 a.m. at Verde Street and Hesperia Road. Authorities have not released the name of the victim, but he is a 21-year-old male.

According to police, the skateboarder was headed west on Verde Street at 8:52 a.m. As he approached the intersection at Hesperia Road, the skateboarder failed to yield at the stop sign. He then struck the side of a northbound passenger bus.

The man was rushed to the hospital with major injuries. He was pronounced dead Thursday afternoon. No one else was injured in the accident, which remains under investigation by the Victorville Sheriff’s Station.
